Bonjour Paris! Viva Technology took place in Paris from June 11 to 14, 2025 and the MediaTech Hub Potsdam was there. As part of the Digital Hub Initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, we were represented at the joint stand “French-German Tech Lab” on June 12. The stand was a joint initiative of numerous partners from France and Germany and was organized by the Franco-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK France). Startups from our community were also on site: DealEngine, EINBLIQ.IO and PHONT. A special highlight for us on June 12 was the panel on “The AI Innovation Triangle: Research, Startups, Corporates” with MTH Potsdam CEO Katja Richter together with Prof. Philipp Slusallek(DFKI Saarbrücken) and Martina Merz(Board Member Bosch).
Afterwards, the after-work format in the French-German Tech Lab provided an opportunity for exchange, including a presentation by Jochen Zimmermann, Head of Division for Start-ups and Digital Hubs at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The day ended with the German Startup Night at Voie15 – an inspiring side event that provided space for networking between startups, digital hubs, investors and companies.
On June 13, the third day of the trade fair, Katja Richter took part in the panel “Autonomy & Sovereignty: Securing Strategic Technologies” and discussed the importance of technological independence in Europe together with Kristen Davis (CEO Cinqc), Aliette Mousnier-Lompré (CEO, Orange Business), Benjamin Revcolevschi (CEO OVH Cloud) and Olivier Vallet (CEO Docaposte). As a jury member in the French-German Tech Lab, she evaluated promising startup ideas before moving on to the“VIVAPARTY” side event organized by Station Fthe largest startup campus. The inspiring discussion with the team from Artpoint, a digital art agency, was particularly exciting.
We look back on exciting days of Franco-German cooperation and the digital future.
