MTH Bootcamp – Second take

Networking in a relaxed atmosphere, receiving valuable input on the topic of fundraising and learning more about the location on a walk through the media city of Babelsberg – this is what the MTH Bootcamp of our MediaTech Hub Accelerator offers. This event format takes place once a year and aims to bring together startups from the MTH Accelerator as well as partners and Initiators and connect them more closely with each other. The MTH Bootcamp kicked off in September 2023 (click here for a recap). On Monday, July 8, 2024, the event went into its second round.

This time, the founders of the teams from the first cohort of the Investment Readiness Program, AvaCapo, Djoid, JYMMiN, Patentiv, Radiozeit, Recardy and Valid, as well as some of the alumni startups such as Deep Skin AI, freispace and Sensit!. Also present was Jörn Krug, project manager from the startup service of the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF.

In the afternoon, it was time to arrive on the roof terrace at the MediaTech Hub Potsdam office. With cool drinks and sunshine, the participants were able to get to know each other and exchange ideas. This was followed by a walk through the campus of Studio Babelsberg, where Volucap was paid a visit. Volucap is a production studio for high-resolution volumetric recordings. Several cameras film a person or a scene from all sides, allowing to create 3D avatars and integrate them into virtual environments. Here, the teams were given a look behind the scenes and had the opportunity to ask a few questions in a Q&A session.

The next stop of the tour was theMedieninnovationszentrum Babelsberg. After a short break, the event continued with a masterclass from our Head of MTH Accelerator, Erdinç Koç. In the masterclass, Erdinç provided valuable insights into the topic of venture capital fundraising. In addition, the teams were able to share their individual experiences and give each other helpful tips. Finally, there were updates from the MTH Potsdam. Over a buffet, the participants once again had the opportunity to deepen their exchange.
