Jay has launched a pilot project for in-stream shopping

Streaming providers are always on the lookout for new business models. The Potsdam-based company transfermedia Production Services offers an innovative solution with Jay: In-Stream Shopping. Based on metadata, users are suggested outfits that match the respective scene, which they can store directly. It is no longer necessary to pick up a second device to do this. The required information can be conveniently displayed on the screen. It is also possible to call up scene-specific information about the cast and music.

On Monday, March 11, 2024, a pilot project was launched in collaboration with the streaming service RTL+, the production company UFA Serial Drama and Zalando. Fans of the long-running series Good Times, Bad Times now have the opportunity to try out the interactive offer via the RTL+ iOS apps and store for their favorite fashion products.

About Jay

The Jay metadata technology was launched by transfermedia. Jay offers film and series productions and distributors an automated solution for recording and providing metadata. All data, from cast to music to outfits, can then be stored and linked on a scene-by-scene basis.

More information about Jay can be found in our blog.
