What is it about? Do you want to develop your own AI applications or join advanced courses but lack the technical setup? The AI Service Center Berlin-Brandenburg at HPI is here to help you get started. In this hands-on workshop, you will set up your complete local development environment step-by-step with professional guidance. This covers essential tools like Visual Studio Code, Python, Docker, as well as Ollama and vLLM. By the end, you will be ready to run local chatbots or RAG applications on your own machine.
For whom? This workshop is designed for anyone wishing to enter the world of AI development but lacking experience with developer tools and technical environments. No programming skills are required.
Prerequisites Please bring your own laptop. Important: You must have administrator rights on the device to install software.
