Startups with innovative research ideas often struggle to gain access to the knowledge resources and research infrastructures they need to grow. Regional boundaries, institutional silos and limited networks hinder innovation. However, cross-border collaboration and knowledge exchange between incubators, accelerators and research institutions can create valuable opportunities that would otherwise never exist.
The SciConnect Mazovia – Brandenburg forum recognises this need and creates a unique platform from 24 to 25 November 2025 for Brandenburg and the Polish region of Mazovia to share insights and address their regional and scientific challenges together.
The MediaTech Hub Potsdam will contribute practical experience from its work with founders through participation in the panel “Access to Knowledge and Research Infrastructures for Startups.” Together with leading players in startup promotion – including the Potsdam Science Park and the University of Warsaw Incubator – discussions will focus on how to break down barriers between startup ecosystems and build stronger bridges.
The insight that founding teams benefit from cross-institutional networks forms the foundation of the MediaTech Hub Accelerator. This equity-free programme combines individual coaching with a strong network of experts and investors to guide startups purposefully to their next milestone – regardless of geographic boundaries.
The conference brings together experts in science, science management and startup promotion from across Europe, creating a valuable space for dialogue on funding, regional conditions and institutional collaboration.
