{"id":37185,"date":"2026-03-03T13:29:23","date_gmt":"2026-03-03T13:29:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mth-potsdam.de\/?p=37185"},"modified":"2026-03-03T13:30:43","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T13:30:43","slug":"international-perspectives-on-the-future-of-media-wales-visits-babelsberg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mth-potsdam.de\/en\/international-perspectives-on-the-future-of-media-wales-visits-babelsberg\/","title":{"rendered":"International perspectives on the future of media: Wales visits Babelsberg"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Exchange, new perspectives, and shared goals: on Wednesday, 25 February 2026, a delegation from Wales visited Babelsberg to exchange ideas with local stakeholders about the future of the film and media industry.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together with Studio Babelsberg AG and the Brandenburg Economic Development Agency (WFBB), we had the wonderful opportunity to welcome a Welsh delegation to the media city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Focus on technology and sustainable production<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The intensive discussions centred on the major topics of our time:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Technological developments in film and media production<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sustainable film production (Green Production)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Building future-proof media ecosystems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From discussion to studio tour<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Following an open dialogue and fascinating insights into the work of the Welsh innovation initiative&nbsp;<em>Media Cymru<\/em>, an exclusive tour of the Studio Babelsberg lot provided the perfect setting. Here, personal exchange and shared perspectives took centre stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Innovation thrives on exchange<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>True innovation requires places that bring people, ideas, and technologies together. This is exactly the spirit we live by here in Babelsberg, making it visible every year at the&nbsp;<strong>MediaTech Hub Conference<\/strong>, where international perspectives meet and genuine collaborations emerge. Encounters like the visit from Wales are essential if we want to not only rethink but actively shape the future of the media industry together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A heartfelt thank you to Studio Babelsberg for their wonderful hospitality and to everyone involved for the open conversations and inspiring insights.
