On 6 November 2024, hub:disrupt<\/a> opened its doors as a pioneering platform for innovation and collaboration in the field of digitalization and automation at the Gl\u00e4serne Manufaktur<\/a> Dresden. The focus was on automation, digitalization and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). In addition to the open exchange between visionaries, experts and start-ups, the main focus was on the question of how factory processes can be further optimized using smart technologies. The Mediatech Hub Potsdam<\/a> was on site, represented by Program & Project Manager, Olympia Tsakiridou and Junior Project Manager, Hannah Nieswand from MTH Innovator<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening panel with speakers from leading companies such as SAP, Volkswagen and Wandelbots was dedicated to the importance of collaborative innovation for industrial transformation. An important focus was on the role of the Factory-X network: as a joint initiative with players such as Siemens and SAP, Factory-X aims to support factory suppliers and operators in their digital transformation. The speakers emphasized that digital twins and seamless data networking are essential for the future of manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event offered numerous formats to gain interactive insights into technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence (AI) and the industrial metaverse. Workshops and start-up pitches brought forward-looking ideas and partners together.At the EIT Community AI Challenge, teams competed with customized AI solutions for current challenges and the winners will be able to present their projects at SLUSH in Helsinki at the end of November. We will also be represented here as MTH Potsdam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to its own stand, the Mediatech Hub had the opportunity to offer visitors a unique experience thanks to the help of partner companies such as Volucap<\/a>, Studio Deussen<\/a>, Planetenraum GmbH<\/a> and the Extended Reality Association Berlin-Brandenburg<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside the ID.Globe<\/a>, a futuristic domed building, interested parties were able to view use cases for the application of media technologies in industrial companies on a 270\u00b0 curved screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a wide range of scenarios, from a virtual tour of a solar power plant in Dubai to training scenarios for employees of tunnel boring machines and many other projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
