Cultural and creative industries in the age of AI: New horizons

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) is shaping all areas of our society. In the cultural and creative industries in particular, this is creating numerous opportunities for new ideas and innovative projects, but also a wide range of challenges and uncertainties.

Following the successful conference “Cultural and Creative Industries in the Age of AI” at the end of last year, the Brandenburg Ministry of Economic Affairs invites you to a continuation of the format on December 10. This year’s conference will provide space for an in-depth exploration of the topics from the last event, stimulating new ideas and intensive discussions about the changing landscape of creative professions through the use of AI. Under the motto “New Horizons”, it will also venture a look into the future of the cultural and creative industries.

We look forward to exploring new perspectives with you and understanding how AI can shape the future of the cultural and creative industries. What are actually the best AI tools I can use? What opportunities does AI offer? Who will own the ideas in the future? What are the legal pitfalls for creative professionals? And what does it mean for our future when AI replicates our minds and emotions? The conference offers opportunities to try out, exchange ideas, ask questions and discuss these and many other questions.

Program highlights:

The conference starts on 10.12.2024 at 12:30 with a “Welcome & Networking Lunch”. Use this opportunity to network with like-minded people and exchange questions and ideas.

AI expert Jaques Alomo (creamai.de) has once again been invited to give the keynote speech, where he will shed light on the connection between creativity and AI and its fascinating possibilities and reveal his recommendations for the best AI tools. Three of the most important AI tools can be used directly afterwards in a practical workshop. Please bring your own laptop!

At our Start-up Experience, you can also discover at various stands where AI solutions are already being used in the cultural and creative industries. Among others are: tuul.aiBrand PatrolRhesisAI and Skll-Ink.

After the workshops, copyright expert Christian Czychowski will explore the question of how AI is changing the rules of the game in the creative industries and what legal opportunities, risks and rules will arise for the future under the title “Who owns the ideas of tomorrow?”.

Whether and how AI and ethics fit together and whether AI can really be creative will be discussed in a closing keynote by Jenifer Becker(jeniferbecker.com).

The conference will end at 6:30 pm with a relaxed “closing & networking” with snacks and drinks. Here you will have the opportunity to continue the day’s discussions and make valuable contacts.
